Today's skywatch features Altocumulus clouds floating through a sunset over Harding Middle School. Altocumulus clouds are "middle level" clouds that have bases between 6,500 - 23,000 feet and appear as gray puffy masses rolled out in parallel waves or bands. The appearance of these clouds on a warm, humid summer morning often means thunderstorms may occur by late afternoon.

So when are you going on WEWS to become the weather foecaster? Nice Skywatch. I do remember those days fishing on Lake Erie watching those clouds build and my Dad who say "rain to come"
Beautiful. Just beautiful.
