IV could also be the Roman numeral "4" which throws the whole thing off. Say, "Four Infants" or "Four Infidels"?

john - think you are on to something with the iv standing for four! my bro-in-law i think nailed it (on my fb page) suggesting that it stands for 4th Infantry!
