Earlier this year a new CVS store opened on Detroit Avenue, it is located on property which was once the home of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Today all that remains of St. Paul's are two cornerstones along the property's southern edge, facing Arthur Avenue. These cornerstones are a like wee graveyard for a church which served Lakewood for 100 years. Prior to the church building's demolition the church was empty for years.
